Quality control

Quality control

Here's no place for amateurs. We never consider a freshly translated text to be the ultimate product. Quality control is a must.

You won’t find any incorrect definitions, bad translations, language slip-ups or other mistakes in our works. Hard to believe? Upon preliminary approval, any client can check through the whole workflow.

Why does i-version guarantee the quality of translations?

Because our quality management system is precise, well-organized and systematized.

  1. Selecting a translator
The key criterion for choosing a translator for project is subject knowledge and ability to meet client’s specific requirements. All candidates would take a test before the work begins.
  2. Technical and literary editing of translated text
This stage implies linguistic and technical correctness control. The accuracy of statements and definitions, calculations and formulae correctness, consistency of text structure, and adherence to stylistic standards are evaluated at this stage.
  3. Proofreading
Proofreading means that all translations are checked by experts in the subject area of source text. At this stage special emphasis is put on specification and correction of terms as well as technical and occupational notions. In i-version proofreading is performed by experts in various fields such as steel industry and mechanical engineering, aircraft, oil-and-gas production, medicine, law, economics, marketing, IT, etc.
  4. Linguistic review
Linguistic review is carried out by a professional linguist or philologist. During this stage the experts work on the orthographic, punctuation and syntactical correctness and textual formatting.
  5. Native speaker check
At your request, all translations performed within supported language pairs can be checked by native speakers. This stage is crucial to text localization since an expert being a target language native speaker is able to make the text sound authentic to the representatives of their language environment much better than anybody else.

...May they brag out and claim to be matchless… We’d put it neatly — we value our good reputation and our clients. Squandering our business treasures makes no sense, does it? That is why we assign highest priority to the quality of our works.

I’m just a mustachioed website administrator. I am only allowed to proofread IT translations — my small QC contribution.
